Rabbits: Nocturnal and quick, any rabbitsize rodent can demolish a garden’s harvest in just a couple of nights. What’s worse, they breed like, well, rabbits, which means where you see one, there may be twenty or more!

Mice: Mice aren’t as noticeable as the more destructive rodents, but rest assured that they will take advantage of the easy meals your garden provides!

One of the biggest problems with all three of these garden pests is that they tend to come out at night, under the cover of darkness. That means unless you know how to train an owl, rodent control can be a real problem.

Over the years, various home grown techniques have developed for dealing with different types of rodents. People use everything from live dogs to cat litter as rodent repellant, hoping to scare the little thieves off.
Unfortunately, even when these techniques do work, they rarely do so in the long term. This family of nibblers is persistent and adaptable, and mice, rats, gophers, and rabbits will all find out how to beat folksy remedies.
