A dental implant is a surgical procedure that attaches a small screw mount to the jaw below where the tooth was located. Once this is firmly in place a crown is created and attached to this mounting and will look and feel like the original tooth.
Another popular procedure is the replacement of older silver amalgam fillings with newer composite fillings that more closely match the color of the teeth. This eliminates the contrast in color that the older silver fillings have and will make the fillings almost invisible.
